Developing In-House Talent
Learning to be a well-rounded baseball player includes learning how to be a mentor and a great teammate. At Oswego, we believe our travel baseball players have a unique opportunity to grow as teammates and appreciate their coaches by acting as mentors and teachers to our in-house players. At the beginning of the year, Oswego Travel Baseball opens a pre-season practice at the Oswego High School Fieldhouse to in-house players. Travel ball players work alongside their coaches to teach in-house players new drills and to get to know one another. We believe it is our responsibility to develop our in-house talent and encourage our youth and their parents to stay local and consider our program if looking for higher competition.
"Panther Pride" In-House Baseball Camp
"Panther Pride" means giving back to our team, our travel program and OBSA Baseball. Just as it is important to give back to our Community, our travel players help conduct a baseball camp, free for in-house participants, and give back to OBSA. The annual "Panther Pride" In-House Baseball Camp is an opportunity for travel teams to learn the art of good mentoring and leadership. It is also an opportunity for in-house families to experience travel baseball, network with coaches, and ask questions.
The In-House Baseball Camp takes place in late January, early February (dates TBD). Further details will be posted on this page. Camp will be held at the Oswego High School fieldhouse. It will be free to attend for all in-house players across all grade levels. Registration will be required and players will be asked to attend separate sessions based on their grade. Check back soon for more details and to register online.
